Migrant Education Services - Title I, Part C

The mission of the North Carolina Migrant Education Program is to help migrant students and youth meet high academic challenges by overcoming the obstacles created by frequent moves, educational disruption, cultural and language differences, and health-related problems.

A migrant student is defined as a child who has moved from one school district to another during the past year with a parent or guardian who was seeking or acquiring employment in agriculture, related food processing activities and/or fishing.

A student meeting these requirements, with the concurrence of his/her parents or guardians will receive benefits from the Migrant Program.
