Cougar Notes for the week of April 17th.
Following the last dance of the year on will be our home track meet at South Brunswick High School. Admission is free. Students staying for the track meet will be escorted to the high school. Come out and support our student athletes. We also have our home golf match Tuesday April 19th at the Oak Island Golf Course.
Brunswick County Schools Facility Maintenance Department will be applying herbicide at SBMS on April 19th 2016 depending on weather conditions. The specific area of treatment will be all perimeter and fence areas. Treatment is necessary to control weed infestation.
The trade name of the chemical that is being applied is Pramital. This product is a diluted chemical applied with a sprayer.
North Carolina School Children’s Health Act of 2006 requires that we provide you with a 72 hour notice prior to the scheduled application of these chemicals.
Brunswick County Schools practices Integrated Pest Management and Weed Control to minimize the use of pesticides/herbicide and we take every precaution to safeguard our employees and students.
A Pre-Notification of the use of this pesticide and a copy of the Material Safety Data Sheet for this chemical will be posted in the school administrative office for your viewing.
