Reading: This week we will read The Puddle, which is a fiction story that is a mixture of make-believe and and realistic parts. We will practice the focus skill of plot and distinguish between real and fantasy.
Math: Our focus will be in two areas. First, we will learn about fractional parts of a whole using food and candy. Second, we will read and interpret graphs.
Writing: We will do creative writing about various fun topics such as living in a farmhouse, castle, or houseboat. We will also write about cooking for our families, and make up a story about a bat who couldn't fly.
