I would like to welcome you all to my class.  Parents and students have equal access to my documents and to me with any questions you may have.

I would like to ask that students and parents understand that we are going to work hard and there is a great deal of work that goes in to this Biology class.  We work hard not only to prepare for the Biology EOC at the end of the year, but in hopes of enriching student interest in the sciences and preparing them for the next science class that they must have.

Biology is a course that MUST be passed in order to graduate from high school and students need to take responsibility for their work and their actions.

We are currently reviewing for our Biology End-of-Course Test.  EOC will be Wednesday January 18th at 8:55am.

GOAL 1 - The learner will develop abilities necessary to do and understand scientific inquiry

GOAL 2 - The learner will develop an understanding of the physical, chemical and cellular basis of life

GOAL 3 - The learner will develop an understanding of the continuity of life and the changes of organisms over time

GOAL 4 - The learner will develop an understanding of the unity and diversity of life

GOAL 5 - The learner will develop an understanding of the ecological relationships among organisms

Students who have a 77 or below in class are required to attend Mandatory Tutoring Sessions.  Due to the EOC quickly approaching, I am available for any student that wants extra help EVERYDAY during A Lunch.  Please encourage your student to come if they want or need any extra assistance.

Tutoring is available to all students every Monday during A Lunch (11:50-12:20) and Tuesday during B Lunch (12:20-12:50)

I can make myself available to students who are able to get to school early as well.  I can have tutoring set up from 8:15-8:50 any day if students come and speak with me.

If students do not attend, they will written up and serve lunch detention.

Students are keeping up with an Active Notebook this semester that will serve as a class and information guide.  It needs to be brought to school every day and it will be used every day.  Please ask your student to see their notebooks often to ensure that they are keeping up with their assignments.
