We are excited to serve the students, parents and community members of Brunswick County public school system through our diverse student programs.
The COAST is proud to serve all of Brunswick County High School students with a diverse and dynamic set of classes focused on STEM and technical skills. These courses range from Clean Energy, to Carpentry and Electrical Programs, in addition to Cyber Security – and many more. Classes and programs are always evolving and being added. These classes offer students an opportunity to receive hands-on training in a variety of educational and career fields. All interested high school students in Brunswick County can speak with their home high school counselor about the variety of classes offered here at The COAST. Students will attend 2 class periods either in the morning or afternoon, with bus transportation being offered to all students that need it. More information can be found here.
We also provide a Ninth Grade Academy program. Students are recommended by their teachers and administration to attend the program by their home middle schools as they exit eighth grade. It is designed to support students who are not academically ready for the traditional high school experience. We offer smaller class sizes and foundational academic supports in order to encourage our students to have a successful ninth grade year. You can read more here.
