    Protocols for returning to school:

    Cougar Families,

Our A/B student return is the first step to normalcy for us this year, and we are more than excited to have students in the building!!!  Students have followed safety protocols, shown respect for school staff and expectations, and many EVEN report being happy to be at school!!!

As I've mentioned, at this time we are unable to have students move from Virtual to A or B day, but we are striving to help you.  We will celebrate the day when all our students are at school with us!!

We are quickly approaching the end of Q1!!  It has been a historic start to school, but working together we are finding our way.  Our students and families are falling into the routines of school, but many students are still needing to fully engage in classes by attending every class and completing assignments with quality work.  To help address the learning curve of totally remote learning, Google Classroom, submitting work, etc., I have asked all teachers to open assignments so that students have the opportunity to make up work through the end of the marking period.  This opportunity is ONLY for Q1; our normal make up time is 5 days.  Cougar students- get busy.  Check Powerschool with your grownup, and really apply yourself to your studies.

The COVID dashboard reported that SBMS has 1 positive case of COVID.  This is a reporting error.  We do not have ANY postive cases in our school.

If you have questions or concerns regarding your student's progress,  your first step is to reach out to the teacher.  Our counselors are here for you as the next step.  If you need further assistance, email me at mlaboy@bcswan.net.  I'll figure it out with you.

    Cougar virtual hugs,

     Marie Laboy, Principal
