Waccamaw School is a K – 8 educational environment built on the supports of a strong community. As the center point of Ash, students enter as five year olds ready to absorb the essentials of reading and math and leave prepared for the challenges of high school and beyond. Our unique situation allows students to know the teachers before they are in the classroom which eases the tensions of transition. At the beginning of sixth grade, we welcome new faces from Jessie Mae Monroe into our middle school. Soon, they are part of the Eagle family. Waccamaw prides itself as an institution of learning that demands students to push themselves forward while feeling cared for by a school family. Our academic teams excel at competition while our performing arts groups bring crowds to their feet. With the addition of a new “gymatorium”, Waccamaw will continue to train athletes both physically and mentally as well as to expand and encourage creative ideas and pursuits. The Eagles of Waccamaw are proud, determined, and ready to fly.
