  • Welcome to Town Creek Middle School!

    Home of the Coyotes!

    Dear Fellow Coyotes,

Welcome to Town Creek Middle School, Home of the Coyotes, where our school motto is “To become rather than to be.”  I am very humbled and honored to introduce myself as the first appointed principal in the inaugural year of Town Creek Middle School and to serve this excellent school community. The 2020-2021 school year promises to be one of the most exciting, challenging and rewarding years of your life. Let’s celebrate and make history together! I can assure you that I share in this school community’s dedication to caring for our students every day while providing them with a meaningful learning environment. Town Creek Middle School strives to be a school of excellence that provides students with rigorous and relevant educational experiences that will allow our young scholars to compete globally.

I firmly believe that every child can succeed and that the cooperation between home and school builds trust and self-esteem in students. With the help of administrators, teachers, a counselor, a media specialist, secretaries, cafeteria staff, bus drivers, custodians  and caregivers in our school community,  we will build a culture of excellence here at Town Creek Middle School. I am devoted to continually exploring new ideas to meet the needs of all students and to interact with parents and community members efficiently. We will be meeting as the staff, and with parents and students throughout the year to identify specific goals in the areas of student achievement, school climate, and parent communication.

We will build a proud tradition of academic achievement and athletic success. In order to foster your child’s social and emotional growth, please encourage him or her to get involved in extracurricular activities.  Research shows that this involvement directly contributes to an increase in academic success.  As well as parents and students who are immersed in school activities tend to enjoy school more. Parental involvement is critical for a child to be successful at school.  As your Principal, I ask that you become active participants in your child’s education so please contact the school if you are interested in volunteering.

To our students, I cannot wait to see you all! I hope that you are excited for this coming school year. It is going to be a memorable, meaningful and exciting year. We will be learning together to achieve the highest accomplishments.

In closing, please remember that my door is always open to you. I sincerely welcome your conversation and solution-focused input during this year. Let us keep our students the primary focus of our work. I can’t wait to celebrate our collective successes during the 2020-2021 school year.

    Yours in education,

    Dr. Jonathan DeBerry, Principal
