9:00 AM Committee Meetings
Dear Belville Elementary Families,
Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! I am eager to see our returning Sharks and meet our new ones!
First, I would like to introduce myself. For those of you that have not met me, my name is Allison Dixon.
I grew up in Ohio and attended Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) for my undergraduate degree. I received my graduate degree in education from Ashland University (Ashland, Ohio). My husband, James, and I moved to the area ten years ago. We have two daughters (Olivia-7 and Billie Kay-3). As a family, we enjoy the pool, the beach, and being outside! Personally, I enjoy exercising and I am an avid Peloton rider. I am also a huge Ohio State Buckeye fan - GO BUCKS!
My goal as principal is to assist and support our talented Belville staff in providing an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and engages all students in a rigorous curriculum, academically and socially, to prepare them for their future. My door is always open. My email is alldixon@bcswan.net.
Our Open House will be held on Thursday, August 24 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
In addition to meeting teachers and other important staff members, Open House is a wonderful opportunity to meet members of our PTO. Our PTO does a great deal to support our school and becoming a member is super simple! Together we can do great things for our school.
Remember, we have many ways we try to communicate with our families. Administration will make a weekly phone call, typically on Sunday evening, with important information about the upcoming week. In addition, news will be posted on our school Facebook page: search Belville Elementary School, “Like” and “Follow” us to keep up with all the news! We also have a webpage that is informational and easy to navigate. Please explore the webpage by starting at the Brunswick County Schools homepage and choosing Belville Elementary School!
It is going to be an exciting year full of wonderful opportunities for your child(ren) to learn and grow, and for you to partner with us to ensure that this school year is one of the best!
Sincerely,
Allison K. Dixon
