Welcome to Second Grade!!!

Greetings 2nd grade families! It is going to be a fast-paced, fun-filled year. Second grade is so exciting because your little ones will begin to blossom into independent and enthusiastic learners. Although your students will be guided throughout the year, they will be much more involved with the way our lessons go. It is my personal goal to find out the different interests and learning styles in my classroom so that we can have a successful and memorable year. You will find out quickly that I have very high expectations academically and behaviorally of my students, but that I also like to have lots of fun!

About Me

Your children will become part of my family, so let me begin by telling you a little bit about myself. My name is Vicki Burriss-Hall and I have been living in Brunswick County for the majority of my life. I graduated from UNCW and have been teaching for 23 years at VWES. I am married and have two wonderful girls.  Teaching has always been a passion of mine and I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to make a difference in your child’s life. Teaching and my daughters take up most of my time, but I do have a few hobbies of my own. I love boating, swimming, and going to the beach.
