Ms. Beth Harts

Welcome to Second Grade! It is going to be a fast paced, fun-filled year. Second grade is so exciting because your little ones will begin to blossom into independent and enthusiastic learners. Although your students will be guided throughout the year, they will start to work more independently as the year progresses. It is my personal goal to find out the different interests and learning styles in my classroom so that we can have a successful and memorable year. You will find out quickly that I have very high expectations academically and behaviorally for all of my students, but that I also like to have lots of fun!

About Me
Your children will become part of my family so let me begin by telling you a little bit about myself. My name is Beth Harts and I have been living in Brunswick County for 25 years where I have raised my two boys. I graduated from UNCW and have been teaching for 21 years. I have taught in both private schools and public schools in grades K-2. Teaching has always been a passion of mine and I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to make a difference in a child’s life. Teaching and my boys take up most of my time but I do have a few hobbies of my own. I love reading, music, swimming, and going to the beach to watch my boys surf. I also love animals, especially my dog Nala and my cat, Toes.
