Mrs. Laura Hutchinson

Hello, my name is Mrs. Hutchinson and I started teaching in 2009. I have been here at Southport Elementary since 2018. I am born and raised in Southport and I love teaching music in the same classroom that I had music in when I was in elementary school. I graduated from South Brunswick High School and then UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in music and English.

I love performing, both singing and playing instruments. I perform regularly at my family's theatre, The Amuzu Theatre in Southport, and at Trinity United Methodist Church. I also teach piano and ukulele lessons.

I am married to my husband Will and we have three daughters, Payton, Ella and Scarlett.

I look forward to an exciting year in Music!
