     Greetings Starfish Families,

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year and to Supply Elementary, home of the Starfish!  I am pleased to continue serving as the principal and to be a part of the Supply family where we strive to educate the hearts and minds of our students through PBIS (Positive Behavior and Support) and excellent instruction by our highly qualified staff in academics as well as the arts.  We keep children first in all that we do and we believe that every child can be successful every day. We work as a team with students, parents/guardians, and staff because we understand that no ONE person has all of the answers.  We are all family here at Supply and that is evident from the moment you pull into the parking lot.  Friendly faces greet every student in the car rider line or bus parking lot to wish them a great day or safe travels home.  We have a strong core PTA who have provided supplies and resources to support our teachers and students. We are always looking for parents and community members to be a part of this organization.

Our beliefs and values center around three important principles:  relationships, relevance and rigor. We understand the importance of building relationships with our children because we realize that students “don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.”  We also realize that students need to practice building relationships with others, so we have a Social Skills program called Sanford Harmony and begin our day with a Morning Meeting in each classroom.

We strive to make the instruction relevant to students by creating lessons that are meaningful and engaging, as well as creating rigorous lessons that require critical thinking and problem solving so that our students are prepared to face the challenges in their future careers.  Each classroom is dressed in the very latest technology including a Smartboard, iPads, and Chromebooks just to name a few. We are extremely fortunate in Brunswick County and are pleased to announce that we are 99% 1:1 with devices for students, which means that we have almost one iPad or Chromebook for every single child.  Our goal is to prepare our students with a strong academic foundation that will support them throughout their life in school and beyond and our staff is committed to giving the very best instruction to all of our students. I am truly blessed to work with a staff that goes above and beyond to help students be successful.

Come and visit Supply Elementary, where everyone's a “Star”!
