    Greetings Starfish Family,

It is my honor and pleasure to welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year where Supply Elementary School is an exciting place to learn and grow!  I am proud to serve as the principal of this amazing learning community.  This new school year brings the promise of a renewed dedication, focus, and energy for our Starfish Scholars.

For those of you who are new to the area from relocation within the district or from another city, state, or country, we are excited to have you join our family.  Supply Elementary School is a special place for all children.

I am a new Starfish!  I grew up in Duplin County and attended UNC-Wilmington for undergraduate and graduate studies.  Go Seahawks!  I enjoy fun in the sun by fishing, going to the beach, and riding in the boat with my husband of 22 years and our 14-year-old son.  I am eager to bring my 20 years of experience in education as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal to collaborate with the students, families, and staff at Supply Elementary.

As partners in the education of our children, I look forward to working together as parents, teachers, and a community to support our Starfish on their journeys to success.  I am continually amazed by the appreciation and support we receive from our families.  We need your continued support, involvement, and love.  Consider helping through the Parent-Teacher Association, Parent Advisory Council, School Improvement Team, or volunteering.

Please reference our school website, social media, weekly newsletter, teacher communications, handbook, and the Brunswick County Schools website for answers to many of your questions.  Check back often as these locations continually update throughout the school year.  If you have questions, comments, or ideas, feel free to contact the school at 910.756.5640.

Thank you again for all you do to help make Supply Elementary the great school it is!

    For the children,

    Heather Bridgers

A Family's Guide to Supporting Kindergarten Readiness

The Let's Get Ready! Guide provides family-friendly resources on age-appropriate developmental skills, support tips, and at-home activities where adult/child interactions are the central focus. It is not intended to determine if a child “is" or "is not” ready for kindergarten. We encourage you to share this resource with families of rising kindergarten students.  A Spanish version is available as well.
