Kindergarten Registration Information

Welcome to Brunswick County Schools! In order to enroll your child in our school system, you will need to provide the following required documentation:

  • Photo ID
  • Proof of Residence (power bill, rent, or mortgage receipt)
  • Certified birth certificate (may be obtained from the Register of Deeds in the county of birth)
  • Immunization record
  • Health Assessment Report showing physical examination, vision screening, hearing screening must be returned prior to beginning school
  • Child MUST BE 5 years old on or before August 31, 2026 in order to enroll in kindergarten.

    • Early Admission to Kindergarten: Is it Right for MY Child?: APPLICATION FOR EARLY ADMISSION TO KINDERGARTEN

      •   Families interested in Early Entry Kindergarten must obtain an evaluation from a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist. Please note that Brunswick County Schools does not conduct these evaluations and does not provide referrals to specific providers. Parents/guardians are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of the assessment.  

Kindergarten registration for the 2026-2027 school year opens March 1st.

If you are a parent/guardian with a student currently enrolled in Brunswick County Schools and you need to enroll a kindergartner for the 26-27 school year, you can do so through your existing parent portal account. Click the button above for directions.

Need Assistance? If you are struggling with the online enrollment system and would like in-person assistance with this process, please contact your child's school directly to make an appointment.

2026-2027 Kindergarten Families are invited to Welcome Night at their child's school on Thursday, March 19th starting 5:30pm. Each school's website will have more information.
