Our school system is equipped with 19 School Nurses that serve our 20 schools. School nursing is a specialized practice of professional nursing that supports the well-being, academic success, and life-long achievement of students. To that end, school nurses promote health and safety; intervene with actual and potential health problems; and actively collaborate with others to encourage student self-management, self-advocacy, and educational success.
