Bullying Incident Report Form
Bullying is defined by StopBullying.gov as “unwanted, aggressive behavior among school aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time.” Bullying behaviors are categorized in three primary types: verbal bullying, social bullying, and physical bullying. “Actions such as making threats, spreading rumors, attacking someone physically or verbally, and excluding someone from a group on purpose” are all examples of bullying.
Per Policy Code: 4329/7311 Bullying and Harassing Behavior Prohibited, Brunswick County Schools and the Board acknowledge the dignity and worth of all students and employees and strives to create a safe, order, caring and inviting school environment to facilitate student learning and achievement. Brunswick County Schools and the Board prohibit discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, age, ancestry, national origin, gender, socioeconomic status, academic status, gender identity, physical appearance, sexual orientation, pregnancy, or mental, physical, developmental, or sensory disability and will provide equal access to the Boy Scouts and other designated youth groups as required by law. Brunswick County Schools and the Board will not tolerate any form of unlawful discrimination, harassment or bullying in any of its educational or employment activities or programs.
