A new era began on January 3rd, 2020. The first mid-year graduation, authorized by the Brunswick County Board of Education, took place at Odell Williamson Auditorium. It is the first of what will be many for seniors who have already fulfilled academic requirements and are ready to move on to the next stage in their life.
The ceremony provides students graduating after the fall semester, rather than in the spring, an opportunity to celebrate their achievement with their families and friends. The inaugural year featured the the Presentation of Colors by the North Brunswick High School JROTC, the Pledge of Allegiance by a West Brunswick High School student, and the Star-Spangled Banner performed by South Brunswick High School's Brunswick Bellas. Welcoming remarks were given by BCS Board Chair Ellen G. Millgan followed by the Superintendent's Address by Dr. Jerry L. Oates. 44 students graduated in the 2020 Early Graduation Exercises.
Congratulations, Brunswick County Schools' Graduates!
