SCREENING FOR COVID 19: The NC DHHS has created a reference guide for Suspected, Presumptive, and Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 in K-12 schools. This breaks down the process for screening and protocols for individuals who are suspected, presumptive, and/or confirmed to have COVID-19.
Every NC school district is using the same guidance from the state. As we continue to see, the guidance changes as we move through the pandemic and with that, BCS leaders adjust. The Summary Document, found HERE, is detailed with information on all aspects of reopening and is considered a 'living document' with links that you can click on for more information on any given topic.
The North Carolina State Board of Education (SBE) and Department of Public Instruction (DPI), in consultation and response to guidelines issued by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS), have developed guidance to support public school units (PSUs) and communities in determining their plans and strategies for reopening schools.
