PRESS RELEASE
November 21, 2023
By poll on November 20, 2023, the Brunswick County Board of Education approved Dr. Margaret Rollison as the next principal of North Brunswick High School. Dr. Rollison will replace Dr. Steven Sullivan who resigned earlier this month to become principal of Chapel Hill High School. Dr. Rollison, a proud Brunswick County Schools graduate, currently serves as the district’s Director of Secondary Instruction. Dr. Rollison is no stranger to North Brunswick High School as she served as a math teacher at the school from 2002-2010 and was also named the Brunswick County Teacher of the Year in 2007. Dr. Rollison has held previous administrative roles, serving as an assistant principal at Heide Trask High School and John T. Hoggard High School, as well as the principal of Emma B. Trask Middle School. Brunswick County Schools Superintendent Mr. Dale Cole believes Dr. Rollison is the right individual to lead North Brunswick High School to achieve even greater academic success. “Dr. Rollison’s deep knowledge and understanding of secondary curriculum and instructional practices and strategies will serve her well in her new role as principal of North Brunswick High School,” Superintendent Cole said. “I am confident in her abilities as an instructional leader to move North Brunswick High School forward as we continue our focus on producing college and career-ready graduates.” Dr. Rollison, a national board-certified mathematics teacher, earned a Doctor of Educational Leadership and a Master of Education from UNC Wilmington and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from UNC-Chapel Hill. Dr. Rollison will begin her tenure as principal on December 14, 2023.
