Tiffany George named BCS Director of Secondary Education

Please join Brunswick County Schools in welcoming Ms. Tiffany George as the district’s new Director of Secondary Education!
Prior to joining Brunswick County Schools, Ms. George served as the Southeast Region School Leadership Coach for the NC Department of Public Instruction. Ms. George has also served in Pender County Schools as Principal of Cape Fear Middle School, Assistant Principal of Rocky Point Elementary School, and North Topsail Elementary School. Ms. George earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from UNC Wilmington and a Master’s Degree in School Administration from Western Carolina University.
When asked what excited her most about her new role and joining Brunswick County Schools, Ms. George said the following:
“What excites me the most is the chance to collaborate with dedicated educators, administrators, and community stakeholders to further enhance the quality of secondary instruction for BCS students. My vision moving forward involves empowering teachers to employ innovative teaching methods, leveraging instructional technology to enhance learning experiences, and ensuring that our curriculum prepares students for their chosen post-secondary pathway. I also look forward to expanding the use of high-yield instructional strategies that are student-centered and inspire a love of learning among our secondary students.”
